BETTER WORLD

Trees in symmetry

A folding of colors

Perpetual sunset

In the evening hours

Glimpse of a better world

But only in a dream

Can these guided brushstrokes

Inspire such esteem

Among gilded groups

Or a shapeless heart

A world that is twisted

And torn apart

Those colors a stimulant

For hope unfurled

Leading us directly

Into a better world

(Inspired by the Peter Max painting of the same name)

I believe we all should do whatever it takes to bring a better world

That goes without saying, Franz. Thank you for your comment!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
