Beyond a Mother’s Soul
An innocent look beyond her soul
Can only bring a grin of joy to my face
A rising of my eyebrows, and
My eyes wide open, but not of suspense
A sweet old lady with the innocence of a child
And the firmness of a mother
Awaits the arrival of her children in solitude
When will they come no one knows
Who will come only God will guide their steps
Which of the five will return the gratitude of life?
Yet, in her mind the thought of who will come flows
She worries on what she could give them
When in reality she gives what a mother gives
Unconditional Love, but at a high price to she pay
And they worry not
The power to regress time I do not own, but if I did
Time I would regress and
More meaning to her life she would get
Only she knows the pain of the cross she carries
But, if you look into her watery eyes
You can see the deepness of her painful soul
Yet, she continues her long journey in her weary body
And spiritual pain that only she knows
In solitude she fearfully waits and waits
Praying that all her five children
In good health they might be.
