Black Tears
I cry them on my front porch
They flow from my eyes, leaving a white stain on my cheeks
Creeping up on my top lip, salty to my tongue
Cold and wet, I cry for some one to hear my heart speak
Not able to make it to the front door
I leave my trace of tears on the steps of my house
I leave my pain the for you to trip over
Hoping you would notice my agony, you would hear my voice
The sorrow that pours with my tears
I leave my heart on the top step hoping you would pick it up
Attempt to mend it, since it was you who broke it
I cry them on my front porch
The flow from my eyes, these black tears of mine
