Blackbird's Flight
Catagory of a patient sky
Winged sleekness ne'r be by
Stretched tip to tip span the cloud
Done the tune that beats the wind
Around the Oplympian point
Crevice breezes rise.
Ease of dawning flutters his own
Where no others has come
Not a sluggered finds his day
Of time and space forgoes not I
This winged blackbird whispers on the sly
Come down, come down earthward bound
The sleek dark form against the plume
Soars upward again riding the wondering winds
Where freedom tastes unhinged
Time enters not in essence be throned
Where diamonds glitter through bluest blue
Blackbird rides the thermals in search of life anew
Stark is his blackness contrast against the sapphire sky
He is in his element.
Teach me black bird, teach me to soar
Bound to earth nevermore
To ride the thermals and taste the daystar's rays
Like Pan you and I will fly-- fly-- fly--
Above the fermament that festers fiendish woes
And punctuates heavily down upon my soul.
Away blackbird, away... I turn with sleekness sheen of
Quills bristle in the wind, felt with none other ever again
Fly the cliffs of Peta and down the shores of Jordan
Tiring not till twilight,
Miles away from the tempestuous storm
Then to sleep content till morn
Wings folded quiet in slumber's rest
Whispers out into the night
Blackbird's voice is quiet at last
Winged sleekness ne'r be by
Stretched tip to tip span the cloud
Done the tune that beats the wind
Around the Oplympian point
Crevice breezes rise.
Ease of dawning flutters his own
