    Both sides

My mind races as I spout out all I can in retort--
Both sides seem to contradict yet blend as I--
Both sides are really one and the same, as life is--
One side is not the whole aesthetics, not the whole--
Both sides contradict as life does, I yell and rant for you--
Both sides, no one listens when you state the whole story--

Both sides are rarely listened to, though it is beautiful, complex and beyond the ephemeral certitude of one who only hears one side;the artist is able to show it all, the poet is driven mad by it, and the politician shuns it---
    Both sides.

great poem. sometimes I think we don't want to realize both sides just our own matters to us. we think our way of thinking is the right way. And you are oh so right that it drives the poet mad. lol! i enjoyed thank you for sharing.

although short, your point is well made... Only thing missing is the coin toss...

    Very deep soulful and true.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
