    Breathing Rock

Well I worked 20 years in this damn Shaft,
So many have died I can no longer Laugh
Each day I come 100 ft closer to hell
And I can already sense the Sulfur smell
The Harder I work the more I'm in Hock
So they keep me here Breathing Rock.
Oh you can't breathe Rock That's what they
say But they never dug coal for a miner pay.
My lungs are blacker then the night sky
And all I can do is cry. I listen for the
song a cage bird sung And pray for the day
the boss is hung Some day I'll come face to
face with Lucifer I'm pretty sure he's who
I am working fur He owns everything I have
lock and stock, And keeps me here breathing
Rock. Oh you can't breathe Rock That's what
they say But they never dug coal for a miner
pay. My lungs are blacker then the night sky
And all I can do is cry.
