    Broken

Broken piece of a broken mind, The kind that won't heal in time. A chest left hollow from years of abuse, "Alive" is a fading memory.

The shell of a man, walks this world alone. Knowing he'll never have someone to call his home. Bleeding or breathing, he can't remember which. He struggles desperately, to find that one look.

Broken piece of the broken man. He'd pick it up, but it's not like it will be used again. Shattered like glass, this broken man mourns. The feeling of love, he once adored. He walk and walks and walks some more, forever forgotten and heard of no more.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
