    Claim to the human race

My world shaken falling out of control
    everything turned upside down
    with nowhere to look
forget a smile, only know a frown
does my exsistance take up that much space
do I deserve a place in the human race
it seems to me and everything I see
that I have a broken past
    an uncertain destructive future
my heart, my mind, numb from this pain
I guess im not good enough
is it me? Am I the one to blame?
life is like a well wooded forest
    with so much to see
    and noone around
come face to face with danger
    all on your own
    a life so dark
your just waiting to be found
living day to day fighting this pain
    waiting to be discovered
a better life with everything to gain
    exposed my heart
    I let down the guard
    only to be broken
    with the hurt bundled inside
I move forward to claim my prize
the one that I have endured for
my perfect match, my long awaited love,
and the answer to my hearts cry for rescue
    in the jungle of life
    many obsticles we must face
so hand in hand and heart to heart
I claim my place in the human race

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
