    Poem Commentary

This is the orginal White Room piece that I had written prior to The White Room(Sequel).

    The White Room

In the white room where it all goes down, where nothing can be heard, not even a sound. Voices call from in my mind, telling me I am alone, telling me I am blind. With every breathe I take in, I become more and more like them. I become a slave, a heartless soul, I feel as a fish in the confides of a bowl. It is time, the lights go out, the door opens, and I scream and shout. They cannot hear me, there is not a doubt, seeing the faces the hold me here. I see them smile from ear to ear they see I'm bound; nothing to fear. With my blank stare; hoping I am lost and never to be found. These faces, these lifeless souls lift me arm and arm, leading me where they please, I cant move, fight, or resist, I'm no threat, no use for those fists, the halls seem endless, seeming to lead nowhere, finally we reach a door, which reads "Middle of nowhere", could this be real? Could this be true? A door to nowhere is better than here. I did not care I just knew I wanted out of there. I'm starting to feel alive, I'm starting to move; I think I'm awake, I'm coming to. Not bound by a jacket, not bound by a chain, I still pretend and play the game. Waiting for the time, and all the time to kill, these faces lead me along a path, up a hill, and down a road. Being led to where I do not know; like a flash I break from there grip, running through the hills hoping that I do not trip. I make my way into the town. As I walk and look around no people there like me. Everything was different but everyone was the same. I closed my eyes and counted to two. I heard a voice saying “Hey you, When I awoke and my eyes where clear, I was in shock I had never left here. My mind lost, I'm hoping to be found. Can someone help me grip reality? Am I stuck like this forever? Forever is a long time especially for me!
