Clear Paper

She said mom what’s that paper their

its not real clear

but it looks like its wrapped up in

faded shades of green color

I said It seems like years ago I found this

under the old willow oak tree.

just trying to survive this game

called life so

I wrote this here note to God

back in the summer of 2007

that’s when I prayed like hell to see it on clear paper

That’s when he touched me,

That’s when I said she taught me,

That’s when I said he loved me

Forgive me please God is that you their.

And I prayed like hell to see it on clear paper.

From what i didn’t know then and knowing

what I do no know now

As I kept my memories deep within my meaning

When I’m out their seated on these pedals of red roses

forgive me please God

is that you their with eyes of gold

And violets are blue I was blessed

with the light of faded green.

and I prayed like hell to see it on clear paper.

That’s he touched me,

That’s when I said she taught me,

That’s when I said he loved me

Forgive me please God is that you their .

I prayed like hell to see it on clear paper.

And as I was throwing it out their

in thin air to share he helped me

make it through another day.

With our backs running behind the rain together,

we caught the pain in shades of Jesus.
