COLORED GLASS
Reaching into the moment
grabbing a scream
a tear and a dream
falling listlessly in grass
with the last glass
crashing to the floor
Pulling from depths so dark
in a mind so scarred
erased, enraged
engaged in highlighting
punctuating death
I hear spirits
as I exact their revenge
love and hate
until the last line
there is no escape
delightfully locked
in a house of colored glass
mesmerized by my literary dance
and gasped for breath
trying to break into a new day
a new way
reflections in the display
will say what I imply
and I call to the sky
do not deny me my right
holding you captivated
yet another night
Colorful films
reels in the mind
colors dripping from the sky
you can no longer hid
those colors show you in a different light
given new sight
and throw away the blinders of the night
grabbing a scream
a tear and a dream
falling listlessly in grass
with the last glass
crashing to the floor
Pulling from depths so dark
in a mind so scarred
erased, enraged
engaged in highlighting
punctuating death
I hear spirits
as I exact their revenge
love and hate
until the last line
there is no escape
delightfully locked
in a house of colored glass
mesmerized by my literary dance
and gasped for breath
trying to break into a new day
a new way
reflections in the display
will say what I imply
and I call to the sky
do not deny me my right
holding you captivated
yet another night
Colorful films
reels in the mind
colors dripping from the sky
you can no longer hid
those colors show you in a different light
given new sight
and throw away the blinders of the night
