    confession

    Mighty, Everlasting, oh Great Watcher!

    They know not your face, my eyes

    Trifle bulbs fashioning my face, beauty,

    Perfection, mastery of the designer.

    The world is but a wall, mirroring

    That which therein resides; mortals

    Grasping for air, man, mortality.

    Mighty, Everlasting, oh Great Watcher;

    Let me not die, neither should she;

    Lovers as love itself does love;

    Heeding not the barriers between us stand;

    Wrong, faulty, covetous now, sincere

    Till the end of the world.

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
