Consternation
pulls her hair back downlooks like she should be wearing a crown
leaves the room feeling empty
maybe thats why she's leavin'
and she knows
she's been around here too long
so she goes... and she's so far gone
she hates the world shes painted with her fears
he heads out to the bars
looking to drink these cuts to scars
well he buys another pack
wants to vanish with the smoke
and he dreams
far too many hours past sunrise
and he dreams to bring back her eyes
wishes his dreams were the life that he lives
She waves down the nearest ride
wants to live where she has never cried
he puts his faith in a cyringe
and another drinking binge
and he knows
she loves to live life by the moment
and she goes... and he's so far gone
he only loves life when he's spent
the city was nothing short of cruel
she never did quite know how to play the fool
leaves the slums feeling lonley
maybe thats why shes leavin'
and she cries
she's been away for far too long
so she goes... and she knows
shes never goin' to leave something that was never wrong
