Cries to the Lord
As he trembles with fear, but doesn't know why,
Can't control his emotions to laugh or cry.
He says a silent prayer, but not sure if the Lord can hear,
Deep in the mind, shallow with movements, refuses to shed a tear.
What is it that he needs, what is it that he hopes for?
"Please oh please Lord what do you have in store?"
He says as he continues to be as he may,
The Lord whispers to him,"I hear all that you say.
Be the man that I want you to be,
and you'll have all that you need, all you desire, and you shall be free.
I'll never let you down, I'll never see you hurt,
My child, my creation your cries I will not desert."
"Thank you, Oh Lord!" he says as he softly begins to weep,
"Now I can lay down my head into a dream, but not to sleep."
