Dark World

I'm here living my life with nothing to do.
I look out the window and see that life around me is fading away.
I say to myself "What's happening!"
"The world is dieing." someone replied.
It's getting dark and cold.
I can feel the darkness consuming me.
I drop to the floor and close my eyes.
I just wait for death to come take me away.
I feel something lifting me up and I can see the world covered in darkness.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
