    Death's Friend

Here i sit in this pit,
Heartbroken by the sight of it.
So much disbelief in my mind,
So much grief in my soul,
So much hurt i can't let it go.
Why do i feel so depressed?
Why do i get so obsessed?
We are all friends with death,
All the way till we breathe our last breath.
Death is here death is there, death is everywhere.
It is here from the beginning to the end,
    Death is our beloved friend.

Great lines. You set a perfect stage for the tone of the poem. Thank you.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
