DEMONS
You really think you are fighting them
Sadly, you are blind to your own actions
The demons that possess your soul
are laughing at you
You are only making them stronger
as
they watch you punch shadows on the wall
The sting you inflict doesn’t hurt them
The pain is placed back upon yourself
and
on the ones who love you most
The Guardian that you have leaned on
has tearfully tried but failed to help you
You took her wings and broke them
yet
you refuse to fly on your own
You would rather look at a cliff
then attempt to fly over it
because
It is easier to say I can’t
then it is to say I can try
There is a large mirror on the wall
Embrace the magic for which it holds
Look into the mirror
and
take a deep breath of reflection
The mirror can kill the demons
The ones that have been haunting you for so long
but
until you do, they will only get stronger
as you continue to punch shadows on the wall
