    Despondent

Dear God, can you hear my prayer?
I feel lost tonight, with tears in my eyes
Try to reach into the soul, find my faith
But just can’t find any courage to believe
    You are existing.

Dear God, I’ve heard you have a good heart
You care for them- your children
You give them life, you bring them hope
You show them love, you endow them power
    How about me?

Dear father, I’ve heard you are impartial
    The bad will never win
But look at what you have done?
My love is gone, my dream is broken
    And my soul is lost.

Am I your son? The one you hate?
Am I contempt? The thing you get rid of?
You give me life but you have never bring my hope
You show me love but you have never endow me power
You tell me to be stronger but have never given me chance.

The Devil demolishes me don’t you know?
I am dieing do you care?
My faith fainting will you notice?
The prayers I pray do you hear?

My dear God, you are deaf so you can’t hear me pray
You are blind, you can’t see me cry
You are heartless standing up there
Looking at me squirm in pain down here.

Someone they call God now please listen
From this moment, my mouth will shut
No more prayer, no more implore
No more hymns and no more bibles
From this moment on I hate you
    The one they call God.

    nice work sad but true

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
