    Digging in the night

I lurk to hear the breath of the night
    I ache for the relief
    I never received from people…
I stir to hear what night is whispering to me
But I only hear my heart beating
    I feel it scared.
I am soaring my look to the sky
The moon is staring at me …
Is grinning and is whispering in my ears

“Go back to yours...Nobody can help you here …
    Ashes with ashes
    The heaven-born with their heaven-born”

I look lost in my heart…that gone away of me and let me alone in the cold night…
The tears flow warmly on my cheeks…
    I feel rejected…
Nowhere seems to find a place…
Not a sound around me …everything astonished and dead…
I dare to raise my look straight to the moon and with my last powers I scream:

“I will go back then to be one of my people ...because I belong to them..
Here is cold and everything is dead …
The eye of ice hurt too much …
The fight for better will be hard but at least among those who are alive…”

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
