Done...

Im done.
I don't want to feel these feelings any more.
I'll push them deep inside, and make them hide.
They won't see the light of day again.
They won't make my eyes swell with emotion again.
I won't let you see my tears.
I won't let you see my pain.
I will hide myself from you, and you won't see this look on my face that gives all my feelings away.
All you will see is my smile, and what I want you to see.
I'll put on a show, and no one will know.
No one will see my true feelings, and what I hide deep within my soul.
You can't see everything I hide.
I don't want you to feel this pain I feel.
I don't want you to know this hurt in my heart.
It's all over, it's all gone.
It's done now.

It's the identical self directed dialogue which I had running inside my head at the age of fifteen. 'Very sad. You need to rest your mind and kind of divorce yourself from other peoples expectations of you. Focus upon the reality that a storm will never last forever even if it seems like it can. God was my refuge in time of trouble. Remind yourself that He drew up the blueprint for your life and he's FOR you ...not AGAINST you. Another thing I can see ( I believe) is that you're placing expectations on yourself that are destined to buckle you under. Once you set the baggage down you'll breath easier

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
