El Barrio
El BarrioBeen here since I was a baby.
Eating that rice and beans.
Going to 110th street for those
hot tasty pastellios.
Coming home after those April showers.
Oh boy! Couldn't wait to see those May flowers.
Schoolin it
in the supposed to be hood
waiting for that bell to ring
at three
getting out
going home
ready to play tag and have my water fights.
But now that I am all grown up.
No more summer fights,
tag and riding bikes.
It's off to college to start a new life.
