ESCAPE
Positioning myself in a boat, no time to gloat. This is my life; I must stay afloat. On the sea of false despair, going who knows where
Do you really care if I bare my soul, share my goal, dare to be bold by releasing my mind from a societal hold? Yes, I can be all that I can, as long as "I" don't stand, to expose your demand that I stay confined to a deprived part of land. That you call the ghetto but we call our hood which is really our home where the people are good, and we work for social change just like we should. Where you say no, but still we grow and you say don't cross, when your not the boss or the master of the game. Nor the captain of the seas that I choose to explore. Where our determination kicks down the door because the hidden calculations start to even the score. Who said that I can't dream, who said that I can't speak? Who said that me and mines will not reach the mountains peak. Time is for the changing, achievements everywhere. For your approval and permission, I choose not to care. What I'm about to do you may not think it's fair, but I'm removing my boat from your false sea of despair!
