    EVERYDAY

    Three months have passed
    Since you took your life
    It hasn't gotten better
    But it's not much worse
    The sun still rises
    The moon still sets
    The days seem long
    The nights drag on
    But every day
    and
    Always at night
    I wonder if you
    Could be better off
    No more pain
    No more tears
    At least for you
    We still cry
    As we think of you
    The son we had
    And
    Suddenly lost
    Always and forever
    You are in our hearts.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
