    FALL IS IN THE AIR

I looked out of my window today, the leaves had already changed colors and the wind was blowing them away. Tree branches stood bare and looked as if nothing had ever been there. I opened my door, one thing was for certain and sure, Fall is in the air.

As the wind howled, trees leaned over, looking as though they could touch the ground. Suddenly, the rain began pounding down. I stared in amazement and listened to all of nature's wonderful sounds. I realized while standing there, that, yes, Fall is in the air.

Once, it had been warmer and fair, now had become colder with a chill. Standing there in the middle of Mother Nature, so many things did I feel. I felt blessed that I was alive to see such beautiful sights. I was enjoying the coolness of the late nights. The days had become shorter, this I was aware. That is how I know, Fall is in the air.

Fall is in the air and it's my favorite time of year. Love it. I was born 10 23 and I just come alive enjoying moments like these in your poem. Well I'm off to buy a pumpkin pie :D thanks for sharing this. You can always choose your favorite 3 for the anthology there's still time.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
