FATHER
My father left when I was five years old
His secret life was never disclosed.
The social worker said he died months ago
The process of locating us was very slow.
My baby sister had no memory of him
Her chances of meeting him was looking grim.
He wasn't around to see his six children grow
He had no reservations, when he walked out the door.
My mom had to pay the ultimate price
The sacrifices she made changed her life.
You will never know what we went through
How difficult is was growing up without you.
We didn't have a photo so we forgot your face
We hope that you are at peace in your resting place.
