What Happened to our Children
When children are small they bring so much joy
We enjoy watching them playing with their toys.
We take them to school for the first day
We feel guilty because we can't stay.
The nanny is there when they come home
To take care of them, so they won't be alone.
We buy them nice clothes and expensive cars
Our children want to live like the movie stars.
Many teens have already had plastic surgery
Parents spend a lot of money and don't seem
to be worried.
We tell them it's important to get a good education
Work hard in college so we can attend their graduation.
Our children are committing heinous crimes
Many are dying before they reach their prime.
We teach them morals to know right from wrong
Prison is a place you don't want to call home.
Our children are suppose to be our future tomorrow
If we don't do something, we will be sorry.
We are their parents and need to understand
We have instill good values before he becomes a man.
We enjoy watching them playing with their toys.
We take them to school for the first day
We feel guilty because we can't stay.
The nanny is there when they come home
To take care of them, so they won't be alone.
We buy them nice clothes and expensive cars
Our children want to live like the movie stars.
