    Field OfDaffodils

    Watching the birds
    Flying amidst the deep
    Blue sky

    Crisp and cool the
    Breeze flow

    Over the field of
    Daffodils

    The daffodils cover me
As the tall soft grass is
    My bed

    Let me lie facing
    The sky under the
    Mystic sun

    Lying in a pool of
    Daffodils

    Bid me well
    “Oh” bid me well

    While I stand over
    Yonder be

    In the fields where
    The daffodils grow
    Billowing high

    As I slumber in my
    Field of paradise
    Heaven

    I will marble at it's
    Beauty

    For I will not abandon
    This paradise of heaven

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
