    Foolish Tears

How many times must I get hurt, before I finaly get it right
How much pain must I face, before true love finds me in life

I'm not sure that I can do, what has been asked of me this time
To just let go and not look back, and act like i am doing fine

You slipped away from me, into the arms of another girl
I guess you didn't really mean it when you said "I was your world"

I stand crying foolish tears, over a love that was not real
I'm but a product of deception, left confused on how to feel

I wanted so bad to believe, that you and I had what it took
Proved wrong beyond a doubt, your one more page in heartache's book

I hope to reach a point someday, to not fall victom to such pain
But love has ever changing rules, it's hard to keep up with the game

I thought I saw something different, when I looked into your eyes
Another sheep lost to the wolves, you preyed on me under disguise

I hope someday someone leaves you, in the pain I feel rite now
With your heart a burnin flames, you can't put out no way no how

I want you to cry these tears, from a love you've catered too
Bent over backwards for, to end in them not being true

I'm done crying foolish tears, over you being a jerk
Looking back I should have known, that you and I would never work

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
