RE: RE: Picture Poetry anyone?Quote: The Line Every morning I wake It sits quietly I see it staring back It awaits It requires my strength My weakness, my rage, my fears my serenity, my skills, my failures my hopes, my dreams, and my life It takes only what it offers it's relentless in it's hunger and never accepts defeat or gives a second chance It is my failure, it is my goal It is a line waiting to be crossed There's a storm coming, time to prepare. RE: Picture Poetry anyone?Your piece is full of LIFE: of all that is in life is in this challenge of an ascent. I see you covered the aspects from the innermost to the outer limits--- only one thing if changed would bring closer to perfection: the entire poem is in a subjective perspective then jumps to objective in last line; possibley 'I' should still be the voice. |

RE: RE: Picture Poetry anyone?Quote: I’ve gone just about as far as I can I need you to take me higher If I were to say I could do it alone You’d be right to call me a liar Come with me to the top of the world Together we can go all the way We are not meant to live alone No, not another day When we reach the summit We will stand for all to see That I was put on this Earth for you And you, put here for me |

RE: Picture Poetry anyone?Dive Confined to the surface of laws and rules, conforming to the ways of patterns and schools, am I destined for greatness or being led by fools? I search for reality in the core of illusion, I shuffle through the masses fighting fear and confusion, no room to move I yearn for seclusion. The limits of gravity I willingly defy, hoping for a glimpse of creations eye, I conquer my fear and dive into the sky. Last edited by RPT40 11-09-2010 at 04:51:48 PM |

RE: RE: Picture Poetry anyone?Quote: Why I have come to you this day, Lord To simply ask you, “Why?” Why have you taken the one I love And left me here to cry? Why did you not take me On that fateful day When the two of us went walking Out by the old highway? That car came off the shoulder And passed me on the right Then took my lovely Melinda Away from me that night Now I’m left here all alone To sit and grieve and sigh So once again I ask you, Lord This simple question, “Why?” - Londo |

RE: RE: Picture Poetry anyone?Quote: Eternal Embrace I remember the day you told me you loved me I remember how it changed me the way I felt about life about myself That day I lost every dream I ever had lost them all to the hope of a new dream One that could reach beyond touch and last forever |

RE: RE: Picture Poetry anyone?Quote: Laying here beside you Locked in your embrace I could lie here forever Staring at your face When I’m in your arms Holding you so tight I know this is where I’m meant to be Through every day and night Our love shall last forever Tho’ time shall pass us by Perhaps someday someone will find This place where we did die. - Londo |

RE: RE: Picture Poetry anyone?Quote: The Vision Looking out at creation all I can do is sigh, I am humbled, in awe mesmerized by the vision gifted to these eyes. Engulfed by the serenity small waves against the shore, shimmering elegance of dancing light leaving me completely a peace, fueling my desire for more. In the theater of the cosmos the star takes the stage, performing for the crowd a magical moment, as the artist creates. |

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
