    Free Spirit

    ~Free Spirit, New Soul.
      ~so he calls himself.
~Agreeing with one, confused of the other.
~The Destroyer keeps at it; my own doings.
    ~Too bad I can't blame another.
~The finger is at me- I have no excuse.
~How do I fix this? He will go away. I crossed the line.
    ~There is no forever.
~Forever is definite. No questions wondered. Is there such a thing? Forever?
~I have lost another, a love never felt before.
~I was wrong, He is a free spirit.
~He needs to find another new soul.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
