    Freedom

    They started breathing
    the day you stopped.

Trying to sustain their lungs with the air
    you refused to breathe.

    You gave up
long before the agony took over your body.

And yet you continued to rub your misery in their faces,
your self loathing slowly suffocating them.

Too selfish to try, you put yourself into a state of agnozing pain

They avoided you to avoid the despair of watching you suffer.

The moment you gave up on yourself
    they gave up on you.

What's done is done, now you're all free!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
