    Friend in me

Eyes so deep with passion a love few will ever know,
Deep within your heart, a fire begins to grow.
You wake early in the morning, but not too early as to see the sun rise,
But the desire for life to rise within you is as piercing as the sun shine.
So much beauty and life it swell’s within,
Will dreams become your destiny, or will you settle until the end.
A passion for life and to become all you can be,
Wandering have I set myself for failer, or the perfect destiny.
Your eye’s travel deeply into whom they gaze upon,
Be careful where they land, and who you focus on.
Our lives are only a spec in the eminse lapse of time,
But I will forever be grateful that you were a part of mine.
Live life without regrets, and daily become your dreams,
And rember no matter how bad it gets you’ll have a friend in me.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
