Gather Your Forces

Gather Your Forces

Gather your forces the battle begins
Two wills only one way
Desperation a thing to be endured
To face that which should not be named

Just another story frozen in time
Fractured by too many facts
Love and loss is not a game
Hatred never will win at the end

I offer my life to serve the cause
Knowing in doing so I have doomed myself
They take without giving, wanting only blood
Then feed on mine because I will never stop

Every open door leads to another chance
Can you walk through even in your fear
When every hour may be your last
Hold fast not everything is as it seems

Pain and death await your call
Suffer oh yes we must
This was meant to be a warning
Instead you make me reach for more

Hurt me more it matters not
Laugh while I suffer and die
Death is no stranger to me
I have seen his face and it is beautiful

Kill me a million times, each time reborn
Stronger then the rocks thrown upon me
The drum beats of war grow nearer
The way follows lines of truth made in the sand

Incidental my sorrows or joys
Trivial matters to the on coming storm
I make ready for the day of reckoning
Gather your forces the battle begins
