    GOD MADE WOMAN

GOD MADE WOMAN, THIS IS VERY TRUE.
HE HAD A JOB FOR US THAT MAN JUST COULDN'T DO.
HE NEEDED SOMEONE STRONG, COMPASSIONATE AND BOLD,
ALWAYS WITH A WINNING SMILE AND A HEART OF GOLD.
SOMEONE KINDHEARTED AND HONEST WHO WANTS TO DO THINGS THAT ARE RIGHT. WHO PRAYS CONTINUALLY TO KEEP SATAN FROM WINNING THE FIGHT.
HE MADE US DAUGHTERS, WIVES, SISTERS AND MOTHERS
TO LOVE AND CARE FOR OUR FAMILIES AS NONE OTHERS,
HE MADE US FROM A RIB TAKEN BENEATH MAN'S HEART,
AND AS WE GROW IN JESUS WE LEARN, FROM US, HE WILL NEVER DEPART.
YES GOD MADE US TO SERVE, TO SPREAD HIS WORD WHEREVER WE MAY ROAM. THIS WE CAN DO BECAUSE HE GAVE US A HEART NOT MADE OF STONE. SO THANK YOU GOD FOR INCLUDING US IN YOUR PLAN,
BUT THANK YOU MOST OF ALL FOR MAKING US A WO-MAN.

Wonderful write and well said. This really helps me remember my late wife, though with tears, it is exactly as you say. Thank you for your beautiful end rhymes.

Coming from a man, I can understand your comment, lol, but thanks anyway.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
