    Good Morning

    GOOD MORNING SPRING;

    I’M HAPPY YOU STOP BY
    WE’VE MISSED YOU
    SINCE YOU LEFT
GLAD YOU HAVE DECIDED TO COME
    AND SEE US
I KNOW YOU BROUGHT BACK LOTS OF SUNSHINE
    AND LONG LAZY DAYS
I HOPE YOU BROUGHT BACK FLOWERS
THAT I HAVE NOT YET SEEN
I HOPE YOU ENCOURAGE NEW BIRDS
TO JOIN YOU TO STAY FOR A SPELL
I LOVE THE NEW COLORS THAT FOLLOW YOU
    WHEN YOU COME
    SPRING HOW WE MISSED YOU.
    I HOPE YOU
PLAN TO STAY LONGER THIS TIME THAN LAST TIME YOU
    WERE HERE
THE JOY YOU BRING IS MORE THAN SIMPLY WORDS CAN EXPLAIN.
    THOSE COLORS,
THOSE BEAUTIFUL COLORS THAT YOU BRING
    HOW I LOVE THEM.
THE WARM SUNSHINE IN THE AFTER NOON
I HOPE YOU BROUGHT SOMETHING NEW AND
DIFFERENT WITH YOU FOR ME THIS YEAR
I KNOW WITH EVERY YEAR THAT PAST
YOU GIVE ME SOMETHING NEW TO LOOK FORWARD
    TO SEE AND DO
WHEN I KNOW YOU ARE NEAR
EVERY FIBER IN MY BEING IS WAITING JUST FOR YOU
I LOVE YOU SPRING AND WAITING PATIENTLY
    JUST FOR YOU
    I AM HERE AND WAITING

    Spring personified!!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
