To my niece :
Preparing to become a bride
No woman has ever been prepared to become a bride
What will take to be the woman that man will need day and night
To be the bride that man will relay on, one must look within one's soul
What will make you complete within self
What will make you a woman a man can respect?
Don’t let friends nor family defined you, remember you are the one he wants not them
Don’t compare yourself to another woman; you are the unique creation the most beautiful part of his ribs
When he’s in pain you will know, you will feel when he needs you to come and comfort him
The spirit and soul between you will grow and can only be defined by the God that allowed you to be join as one
With you, he will show his true self and with you his emotion will be known
What he shares with you, you need to take to God not friends neither family
What family and friends might say or think will never draw the two of you closer
He will never hurt nor harm you for a man that knows the plan of God, knows this bride makes him closer to everlasting life
And if as his bride he forgets the promise he made, he know you will walk out the door and his life
He will lose what make him complete and whole and no man wants to feel like a failure (Proverbs 31:10)
He will protect you, defend you, provide for you and if any one tries to defy you, they will know his wrath
Becoming a bride to a man is a hard job to prepare for
You have to be prepared to hear his day, his success and even his defeat
It will be in your hands to build him up, to make him strong again
I have given you the tools I know you must have, use them well for now you will be a new bride
(Proverbs 31: 10-29) (Ephesians 5: 22-24) (Galatians 5: 22-23) (Proverbs 31: 10)
WITH LOVE,
IVY CRUZ GERVAIS
