    Goodbye

    You held me once
    you held me twice
Till I found out the lies
    Then it was goodbye
I didn't care if my heart dies
    It was goodbye
    You wanted a life
    Leaving me in strife
    It was goodbye for good
    I was fooled for good
How you hurt me not once but twice
It was all about the lies
    So I said goodbye
You watched me from the shadows
My heart was the only foe
How it wanted to give you another chance
    I screamed no
As you blew your last chance
    You reap what you sow
As the true person you are I now know

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
