    Habit Be Gone

Though I am not a collector I have acquired so many of you.
which continues to suppress what is good and lets me appear untrue
Some good some bad others we'll see
Then there are the ones that are so not me,
Some I struggled so hard to break and finally get through, only to again arise, What can I do ?
I want life with out you and the broken parts of my past. These old habits I never wanted to last,
Freedom of choice you take from me, With you I am not who I want to be.
I bid you fair warning enemy of mine stay away from me for with out you life is fine.

wonderfully written! I can sense the pain and relief. I see the common goal that you were striving to attain. Sometimes habits are hard to get rid of........ Peace and Blessings..... Look forward to reading more of your work

I liked you poem even though I did not care for the subject matter, Seems like everyone has to go through something before they can move on. I prefer the trip. Good poem

Thank you for your comment it is nice to see what people think, kind of awkward but cool Peace all ways

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
