    HAPPINESS

AS EACH DAY, EACH MONTH, EACH YEAR, PASSES US BY

WE OFTEN REMEMBER THE HURT, THE STRUGGLE, MOSTLY THE

    TOUGH TIMES

THE JOYS, THE LAUGHTER, AND THE GOOD TIMES ARE OFTEN

    FORGOTTEN

AT TIMES WE EVEN TAKE FOR GRANTED THE THINGS THAT ARE

    BEGOTTEN

HAPPINESS IS ONLY A STEP AWAY

FOR YOU MUST LIVE FOR TODAY AND DIE FOR

    EACH AND EVERY DAY

    HAPPINESS

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
