    HER NAME IS "MOTHER"

Who on earth can show greater love
Than the woman who opens the portal
To that vital and innermost part of her
Where we originate and awfully take form?
What a friend we have in this super woman!
Who, though frail, heavy, sick, and mortal,
Ably bears the weight of our fetus inside her
For three quarters of a year, cold or hot
What on earth can fully pay for her love?
The milk from her breasts, the diet is total
She is a fountain of warmth, comfort and love
Her beauty is incomparable and her name is "Mother"

What a remarkable tribute to Mother. I loved the lines, " the woman who opens the portal to that vita and innermost part of her" - a beautiful way to describe. Makes me want to call my own mother and just say Thank you. Well done. ~Pamela

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
