Her prayer

Her prayer

Her prayer
She sat there on her knees
And she began to pray
She was asking god
To help her through another day
She spoke to him in passages
That we're written in his word
With his guarantee
That they would not go unheard
Then the gates of heaven opened
And outward stretches his hand
He lifted up her spirt
Which is more than she had planned
He held her troubled heart
And soothed it with his love
He comforted her in a way
That could only be of above
He whispered in her ear
That this too shall pass
And I'm here to comfort you
As long as this will last
I'll never leave you or forsake you
You are my loving child
And she said " thank you father "
And looked to the sky and smiled

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
