I am But a Person

Poem Commentary

Shows pessimism, how the world isn't like a candy covered with chocolate and the likes.

I am But a Person

I am far from perfect,

Do not expect,

That I be correct,

I am no suspect,

To be given a verdict,

I am but a person.

The world is not what we think it is.

Unfair is reality.

It is brutality,

It is fatality,

It causes infidelity,

It causes finality.

I do not know all,

I am at the aul,

Where to go?

What to do?

I am not perfect,

 I am but a person.

I do not own you,

Everything I did didn't matter to you,

I thought my dreams were true,

I wish I knew......

I wish I knew.....

It must've been destiny,

That you got the best of me,

It messed with me,

Now I am worry-free.
