    I cannot sleep...No pleasant Dreams

     I cannot not sleep no pleasant Dreams,
    only to Dream of wonderful things.
    I cannot sleep nor close my eyes,
    No Dreams of sheeps or butterflies.

    I lay in bed yet toss and Turn
    Not a wink of sleep do I Earn
    only Restlessness and a good nights sleep
    so far away for which it seems,
    I Yearn for and  NOT yet  have seen.

    I close my eyes for which I beg,
    restful sleep and pleasant dreams.
    For this is impossible as it seems.
    No Sleep for ME ?... What do you mean?

    I close my eyes and try once more,
    for a restful night and pleasant Dreams,
    of sheeps and butterflies, and pleasant things
    For this feeling of restlessness will not pass it seems.
    If only I could close my eyes,  Dreams await me,
    and lullabies, a restful night can be mine.
    Just a few Hours of sleep would be FINE !!

    all to often, tired, exhausted, with sleep not found, with hated mornings, thanks for shared moments

    sleep depravity can drive us mad (at least that's what I've read), and I haven't slept well in a number of years :D so if you want to keep your sanity badgebutterfly try Melatonin. p.s. thanks for the comments on "All a Twitter"

    Thank U Dragonfly! I will try that. I have severe migraines and it makes sleeping tuff and it causes my insomnia....take care and keep on smilin :)

    The tortures nights of no sleep for me are so painful it gives my gut a twirl in the morning. plan and simple words of ryhme across this poem great piece.

    I know how this feels - I work nights, and sometimes I just cant sleep. It feels so uncomfortable. I can relate.
