I love you is an understatment

I love you is an understatment

I love you now and here

I love you here and there

I love you thereafter

I love you because

You are my morning rose

I love you for a reason

Summer winter any season

I love you for the time lost

For the years we missed out

I love you in a song

To give my love a meaning

I love you in a poem

So that my love should rhyme

I love you in my sleep

To let my love grow and ripe

I love you when name it

I run out of the list

And I ponder, sit and think

Stand, stroll and walk

On the streets in the park

Find my mental spark

Always in the mood

It makes me feel so good

I love you no ifs and buts

No hits no miss

Just right on the dot

When I throw my dart

To let it pass through your heart

my cupid you own it

I love you is just an understatement

It sounds so redundant

Till I find a statement that can fit

With I love you, I seal it

Dedicated to D.K

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
