    I Miss You Mama

I miss you more than words can ever say

I think of you constantly everyday

You're always in my heart and on my mind

I think of you all  the time

You installe so much in me,but you forgot one thing

How to live without you, how to bare the sting
The sting of leaving me all alone to fend for myself

I love you mama even though you're not here for me to touch

Doesn't stop me from loving you so much

I can remember the day I said I didn't need anyone and you told me that I do

I was wrong ,you were right, mama  need you

Things are so crazy without you here,I lay awake and cry some nights

Why does family that only have few members argue fuss and fight

If you were here there would be none of this going on

You were our peace maker, you helped us to get along

Now there are lies and deciet, stabbing in the back

Something that would not be present if it wasn'tour mother we lacked

You are missed every second, minute, hour of the day

This feeling will last forever,it will never go away

Even on my dying bed I will miss you still

For it is by faith, it is God's will...............

Thak you for comment , my heart goes out to you (Brenda) the pain is still there even after 6 years. What hurts most of all is that she never got to see her 2 grandsons.

Such a great ode to your mom. I know how you feel. It's such a numbing pain to lose a loved one. I lost my dad and still feel the sadness, not only for me,but for my mom.

First of all thank you for the comment. I am so sorry about your father, you can only take it one day at a time. No matter how long it's been with the passing of a loved one it'll always hurt. My prayers go out to you and your family.

I like this poem the most and not just because of all the emotion that pours out. I like this poem because i haven't lost my mom yet and me and her don't hardly talk at all. It makes me realize just how lucky i am to have her still alive. I'm calling her right now......

Thank you. You only have one mother, no matter how much she naggs, even she is a junkie, God only gives you one. She was my best friend, but i know God had better plans for her. Listen to her, and she will listen to you. If not just let her know that you will always love her. Because she falls into that eternal slumber that is final.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
