    I Sigh

    I sigh at thoughts of other ages
    at friendships left on journal pages

    What happened to those best of friends?

    Our life-styles changed we met an end.
    A distant silence time has brought;

    I seldom give you any thought.
    But yet, sometimes I miss you much.

    And wish that we had kept in touch.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
