I Wait.

I Wait.

Night falls once again as i stand here and wait.
Do you see me, can you hear me?
What did i do that was wrong
to make you think it would be better
if i was long gone.

Every night as i look through the blinding tears
calling, hoping you will hear. I have said I'm sorry so many times
But yet my tears fall on blind eyes, my cries fall on deaf ears.

Please Daddy tell me, what did i do that was so wrong
to make you send me so far away, to ensure that i would be long gone.
Never to be found by any that care....i thought you cared....

Daddy!

Was my love not enough,
was yours just a lie?

My neck still bares the marks of that night
the night you sent me away. But i return
return and hope that you will some day care
Until then......

I stand here and wait.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
