Ice Man

Ice Man

Crystals formulate the late great hero

gave his life for unknown love

arrow heads pierce the ancient skull

Under mountains of ice above

Tattered remains of rags drape his frozen body

humble and peaceful he resides forever

Remains untouched my decomposition

Resting in the abyss of never

Spiked shoes grip the snow like

a childs hand to his mother

Stumbling up the maintain top

Sliding down the valleys of snow that cover

Wait, a sight unseen becomes him at last

A hand reaching for something eras past

The frozen man the epitomy of disaster

Maybe a shrine of hope thereafter

Crystals surround the fallen hero

gave his life for stories untold

what wisdom could he hold

under mountains of ice above

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
