    If I Had Wings

    If I had wings,
    I'd fly away.
Somewhere far to forget my pain.
A place so full of life,
That i'll forget the one I live through now.
    If I had wings,
    I'd fly so high.
No one would be able to see me with the naked eye.
I could cry as loud as I want and no one would hear.
    If I had wings,
I'd fly to where ever you are.
    I'd always be near,
    Never to far..
    If I had wings,
    I'd lift you up.
    I'd choose the white dove.
    Peace and love.
    Quiet,
    But always around.
    Your heart to capture.
    The obstacle that's bound.
    If I had wings,
    I'd fly with the wind.
If my life was going wrong,
    I'd take flight again.
    If I had wings,
    I'd fly through your dreams.
I'd see what you really think of me.
    Maybe it's good I don't have wings,
Cause if I found you didn't care,
My wings would break and i'd fall to the ground.
    I'd die right there.
    Alone.
    Oh that thought...
    How sweet it would be.
    Or maybe one day,
You'll see my feelings are true.
Grow a pair of wings and learn to fly too.
We'll fly as far as the clear blue, salt breezed sea.
    Just you and me.

Dis poem was simply beautiful and u made it sound so endeering and elegant, I loved it.....

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
