"Im Sorry That It Took Me So Long"

I'm sorry that it took me so long,
To write right back to you,
But you see I've been real busy with some stuff,
Had so many things to do.

I know you've possibly heard that excuse before,
But believe me... I'm telling you the truth!
I had to make some cookies to sell,
And got stuck selling them at my daughter's,
P.T.A.  Highschool booth.

Then I was taken to court because they came down sick,
Don't really know why that was,
I put all the right ingredients in my cookie dough,
Remember now...something did have some kind of fuzz.

I wonder if that was what made it so rank?
I couldn't smell anything at that time,
Because I had a horrible sinus infection,
That I got from a dear friend of mine.
